Laser Experience

Yesterday I had my first laser hair removal appointment. When I first got there, I noticed on the sign-in sheet that only one person had been in before me. When I saw her come out, I was scared! Her face had a bunch of goo on it (didn't know what it was) and it was SO red! I could definitely tell that she had the same areas done that I was about to go in for. When I got in the room, the nurse was really nice, and made sure to explain everything to me. After she drew outlines on my face of the areas to be done, I put on my protective goggles and away I went. The first jolt of the laser made me jump! Once I got used to it, it wasn't so bad (except my upper lip - ouch!!!), but the smell of burning hair is not something they remember to tell you about - gross! After she was done (only took about 15 minutes) she let me look at it, and it wasn't nearly as red as the previous girl. She put cool aloe on (the unidentifiable goo I had seen before!) and away I went! It itched a little yesterday, but the redness went away. Today it looks kinda bad, like really bad razer burn on my neck and chin, so I decided to stay inside. I hope it looks better tomorrow! Only 7-14 days and the hair will start falling out! Yeah!

The things we go through for beauty. Do they send Aloe home with you too? Let me know how it turns out I have been very tempted to do that but I am going to try Vaniqua first the doctor says it really works.

Yes, I know. That's exactly what I was thinking when she was doing it! They don't send aloe home with you, but it's the kind you can buy at the store for sunburns. They apparently keep it in the refrigerator so it's nice and cool when they apply it. It felt good. :)
Haven't heard of Vaniqua...is it a topical cream or something?

Yes, Vaniqua is a prescription cream that has a really high success ratio and Ash has inherited our family hair thing too, so I thought that I would try it and see how it works so that if it does she could do it too.
