Time to Be Thankful

Yesterday, of course, was Thanksgiving. It was the first year Jason and I have spent it without family around. I have to say, it felt like any other day, except that we made a big turkey dinner. It was nice to not have to get dressed up and go out, we went at our own pace, etc, but we decided that next year we are definitely not spending it alone, if we can help it.
Plus, there's just something about eating someone else's Thanksgiving dinner. Once it came time to eat, I just wasn't as enthused about it as I thought I would be. Maybe today's (and tomorrow's, and the next day's....) leftovers will be better. :)
But as bummed as I may sound about the whole experience, I am so thankful to God for his blessings. We both have good jobs, a new house to call our own, we live in a beautiful place, and we have each other. It doesn't get much better than that. :)

I'm glad you guys had a fun day. It is weird not to be around family though. I got Rusty is present yesterday. The people at Petco didn't even know what a bo bo was. Uh, how rude!

That's cause PetsMart is better!! So what did you get him? or is it a surprise? We haven't gone shopping for him yet, but I saw some fun things when I was there on Friday. :)
