Last night my book club met and discussed our most recent reading, Water for Elephants. It was such a great book, and we all really enjoyed the story.
After stuffing ourselves with really good Mexican food, we chose our next book, The Terror, by Dan Simmons. It's a very new book, just published this month, and is about an arctic expedition in the 1840s to find the Northwest Passage, the disastrous situations in which the crew finds themselves time and time again, and their dealings with a monstrous ice creature. This is a different kind of book than I would normally choose, but part of this is about expanding my horizons!

I am excited to read the book, I finished the Tenth Circle yesterday that you bought me and I didn't really like it that much, hopefully her other one will be better, I always have high expectations for authors i have prviously read.
Sorry to hear that. :( I was talking to one lady last night - she had read it and said it was a very "dark" book. Is that what you thought, too?
ya, that is a good way to describe it. It doesn't make you feel good at all thats for sure@
oh, don't feel bad, its not your fault!
Okay, so I just bought this book today, and it's almost 800 pages! Whoa!
