The BEST in-laws ever!

Today my in-laws leave on their trip to Italy. I got a phone call last night from Aida, giving me an update on a contact number she had given me incorrectly. We chatted for a bit, and she gave me some news that a guy Jason and Jeremy used to work with had committed suicide earlier in the day. I wanted her to tell Jason, instead of me, so I had Jason call her. He called me back later on, pretty shocked.
On another note, though, he said that his parents wanted to do something nice for my birthday. (Wayne & Aida always joke about how they never do birthdays or Christmas, so I was surprised to hear this) I thought, what could they possibly want to do that they haven't already done? Aren't we spoiled enough?
They offered to fly us out to Omaha at the end of the month to see Steph! They didn't want us to have to drive, but wanted me to be able to have as much time with my sister as possible, since they know we both miss each other a lot. I ended up calling her back to discuss the "whys" of the offer, and was told they really like to help out when it comes to family, plus they wanted to do something nice for me. :) How sweet! So after some searching, I found a flight that will accomodate Rusty with not too long of a layover in Denver, so we're all set!
I'm very glad to be flying, but a little nervous about how Rusty will do. We'll be taking him to the vet shortly before the trip to get his bill of health, so I'll talk to the vet about how to make him the most comfortable. Like Steph said, though, he can't be any worse than a screaming baby!
See you soon, Sis!

Can't wait, we have an archivers here too and I saved some coupons for you. Jason better bring his shopping shoes!

Thanks! Have you been in that store yet? We might just have to leave him at the house while we're scrapbook shopping - he gets SO bored!

Yes, Mary and I went into it. It is huge. Plus, there are those other ones I was telling you about, I don't know what they have. I meant shopping in general. We have a really big sporting goods store, it has a ferris wheel he can ride! :)

That's funny, cause he HATES ferris wheels!!
He'll just have to be a good sport. :)
