It's good to be back! We even had a good flight home. Our flight to San Francisco ended up being cancelled, and luckily we had a really nice person behind the ticket counter at United who got us a direct flight home on Alaska. Even though it ended up leaving 45 minutes late, we still got home an hour and a half ahead of our original arrival time. It was raining in Boise on Saturday, so we had some rough turbulence coming down in through the clouds. I just kept telling myself we were on a fun roller coaster ride!
We went to pick up the boys, and I have to admit, they weren't as excited to see us as I thought they would be. Everyone said they did really well, and were very good-natured dogs. That eases my mind a bit since they will be there a lot over the next 3 months. It must have been time for them to take them out potty, though, cause Guiness did #1 AND #2 in the car on the way home. Gross.
We got home and Rusty was whining, so I knew he had to go potty, too. Unfortunately, my garage door opener wouldn't work, and come to find out, I didn't have a house key on my key ring! We let the dogs in the backyard while we tried to figure it out, and eventually the opener worked.
It was so funny to watch them. They just ran and ran and ran around the backyard, chasing each other. I think that's probably what they missed the most - being able to run around and play in a non-confined area.
Anyway, it's good to be home. I came back to a ton of work, but that was expected, considering I had way too much to do when I left. Next trip - Big Bear!

I wouldn't worry too much about San Fran, I have had two canceled flights there, it just happens. I have heard it is the worst airport for that. I'm glad the boys did well, it will ease yoru mind for next time. When do you go do big bear? Drive or fly?
We're leaving on Oct 11th, be back on the 14th. Flying!
I CAN'T WAIT FOR BIG BEAR!!! We had the same troubles boarding Dakota. We got him home, and he would just run like crazy. Well, two weeks ago, we found a place built up in the hills, that has 8 acres of land sectioned off into a ton of different play areas. Its great, he gets like 10 hours of playtime with other dogs. Then at night, they sleep in this barn (in crates of course). When we picked Dakota up after our birthday, he slept for a day and a half. I'm sure there has to be something like that over there too.
Have a nice trip to Big Bear. This baby will be very travelled before it is ever born.
