Thanksgiving was almost a whole week ago now, but our trip out to Sacramento was a good one. If we ever fly in the future out of Boise, though, I will know it's NOT a big deal, and won't get to the airport 4 hours early to beat the rush that wasn't there! ugh.
Thanksgiving was great, with a whopping 43 people! and Wayne said a nice toast for Uncle Curt. It's still so hard to believe sometimes.
I got to relax and take a lot of naps, which sounds boring, but was actually really nice. We were able to have breakfast one morning with Anne & Steve (always makes me realize how much I miss my friends!) and Saturday night we went to the ever-festive Elk Grove tree lighting and parade (really, not that exciting, but it was fun for the kids and Jill made some yummy apple cider just for us pregnant ladies. :) Afterwards we had dinner at Matt & Jill's house, and then we went to Leatherby's to fulfill one of my cravings - strawberry sundae!! Yum! I could actually taste it pretty well, too, so I was excited. We didn't get to make it to In-n-Out this time, but maybe next trip ?
Sunday we got home around 2:30, and stood by the baggage claim for a while, finally admitting that ours wasn't going to show up. Sure enough, since we had a very short layover in Seattle, our luggage didn't make it. I guess there's a first time for everything. We were able to go back Sunday night around 7pm and get it, but only the big one made it back (luckily it was mine!) Jason's finally arrived late that night, and they delivered it for us last night.
The pups were SO excited to see us this time. Guiness peed 4 times (a lot!) just while we were checking out. It felt different this time, picking them up, like they are really starting to dislike being there. Or maybe I just feel more guilty, I don't know. I promised them they only have to go back 1 more time in the near future!
So now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to really focus on my favorite holiday - Christmas! I can't believe how much of my neighborhood has already decorated! It looks so festive! Jason and I will pull everything out this weekend and get on it! I'm going to do something I said I would NEVER do, too... buy a fake tree! Can you believe it?! Well, it's true. We just have to decide on the one we want.
Stay tuned for pictures!!

It was really great to see you guys. Everytime we're fortunate enough to get together now I kick myself for not getting together with you guys more when you were in CA. We really do miss you guys! On a different note...I can't believe you are getting a FAKE tree!! Steve keeps suggesting it and I keep telling him NEVER!!
I know, I can't believe I am either! But it is going to be SO much easier, and this way I don't have to worry about it drying up the whole week we are gone and then trying to dispose of it.
oh no a fake tree?!?! lol ya we are thinking of just getting one too. im glad you guys had a good time.
Glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Buying a fake tree is sounding better all the time. We got ours last night and I spent more than I ever have on one. It isn't any bigger than normal or anything the prices have just doubled around here. We will miss you guys Christmas.
