We ended up getting a 7-foot, slim version. It takes up less room, and I think it looks pretty nice, considering it's fake! We ended up getting a new angel topper on Sunday afternoon, but I forgot to take a more recent picture - oops.
So far the dogs and cat are doing great with the tree. Rusty and Guiness think the tree skirt is for them to lay on, but I knew that would happen, given prior years' experiences! And they keep sniffing the big red package - I told them it was for their cousins Riley and Magnum, but they want it for themselves!
Saturday night I had a dinner/theater show to go to. One of the ladies in our department retired, and this was her "going-away" gift from all of us. It was a lot of fun, especially since it was all Christmas-themed.
Sunday after church, Jason and I spent hours doing errands. We got our new Dyson vacuum (LOVE it!!!), found an ornament for my party coming up next weekend, went to Wally-world, got Jas some new work pants, etc, etc. By the time we got home it was almost 5pm, and I wondered where my weekend had gone! I guess I just felt it wasn't very relaxing, and Monday morning came too soon, especially since it's my payroll week. Such is life! I'm just happy it's December and my week in California will be coming soon!

Tree looks great! I can't believe you got a fake one! With all that harassing we use to give mom! :) Can't believe how soon we will be there. Love you!
the tree looks great!! i think next year we are gonna get one, it just seems easier.
Your tree looks nice. I am to the point I would get a fake one but Joe and Ash are totally against it. Trees down here range from $50.00 to $300.00 for anything not resembling a Charlie Brown so I would rather have one we could use year after year. See you soon.
