Yesterday I had another doctor's appointment, and my blood pressure has come down! 132 / 72 - much better! I've only gained 1 lb. in the last 2 weeks, so I'm happy about that, too, although I just hit my 30 lb. mark, so I'll be over my goal by the time it's all said and done.
Anthony had a heart rate of 150 and is headed in the right direction (head down). I met a new doctor, just in case, and I really liked him.
Afterwards, I went over to a day care center really close to our house. They were fabulous! Jason got there late due to a chiropractor appointment, but I filled him in and showed him the infant classrooms, and he really liked it, too. They have good security, a sterile environment, certified teachers, cameras (which will eventually have web access), a small ratio of infants to teachers (1:4)... the list goes on. They are a fairly small facility, too, which was one of our main concerns. We were headed towards the "in-home" day cares, but this one just feels like it would be a really good fit for Anthony. Of course, I'll probably cry the first week I have to take him there! Next week I'm meeting with the first pediatrician, so it feels like everything is falling into place.
Poor Jason... I was wondering why he seemed so pre-occupied last night.. his chiropractic appointment did not go well, and now he's all stressed out. Thanks to our friend Lauren, he found a great new chiropractor and started going to him this week. Apparently, when the x-rays came back, it showed that Jason doesn't have the normal "S" curve to his spine / neck. His injury years ago made it a different shape. So, next week he will have to start wearing a head / neck apparatus of some sort. Men - they really don't ask many questions, so it's hard for me to understand exactly what's going on, since he didn't even ask! That's pretty much all of got out of it. But by the time we got home from dinner last night, he had a rash all over his back and starting on his arms, so I know he's really concerned about it. I'm going to go in with him next week to learn how to help him put the thing on his head, so hopefully I will be able to get more information.
I told my sis I would post pictures of the nursery this week, but I still have a huge pile of clothes on the floor to go through and wash. I've just been really tired this week and haven't wanted to tackle it, but luckily I have a 3-day weekend ahead so I should be getting plenty of stuff done!

Yay i am so glad that your blood pressure went down! Poor jason, tell him he's lucky his back doesnt have a huge hump in it and next time to ask more questions when he does something :) silly guys....
Poor Jason, but that so sounds like him, not to ask any questions. I hope it all works and if Lauren helped you find a DC, it will all work out.
I can't wait to see pics of the nursery.
And the daycare sounds great. It has so many great qualities. As long as you feel comfortable leaving him there, I'm sure it will be great.
Dude, I can't believe its only 6 weeks away!!!
I know, it's crazy!!! It's going to be here SO fast!
Glad everyone is healthy. I'm just trying to figure out when to go visit!
