Jason Update

Last night Jason had his consult with the new chiropractor. We looked at his x-rays and I think I understand now what the problem is. He has 126% loss of curve in his spine. Basically when you look at an x-ray of a spine, it should have a slight "S" curve to it. His does not. It looks almost straight. Most likely this started when he was in a car accident at the age of 10, but then got worse after his eye injury back in 1999. Regardless, it needs to be fixed, and it can be done; it's just going to take a long time.
Good news - his bones haven't started fusing together yet, and there's no degeneration yet, either. He LOVES his new chiropractor (thanks again Lauren!) and really trusts him, so I think we've found a good fit. I don't understand why previous chiropractors haven't found this, but maybe not all of them took x-rays (?) Not sure. Anyway, within the next week or so he will purchase this "hat" that he will wear several times a week, for about 10 minutes per day. It's weighted, so that when you have it on, it makes the spine go back to where it should be. This, along with adjustments 2x per week, should get him to where he needs to be, hopefully within a year. Anthony's daddy will be all better! (Now we just have to work on his soda intake!) :)

Glad he found a doctor he likes and trusts, that can be hard to do. Also good to know that it is fixable. :)

Maybe he won't have as many headaches now too! Good thing it only takes about ten mins a day, will you have to make him wear it? I am proud to say that I haven't had a soda in 28 days! Go water! Hey, where is my pregnant belly? I want pictures!

No, he knows how bad his neck is, and is ready to fix it, so he'll be good about wearing it.
Good for you!
I know, I've been bad. But I swear it's not getting any bigger! I promise I'll post a pic soon!

I find it hard to believe it didn't get any bigger in a month. It is almost a month away, I can't believe it. I have been having tons of baby dreams, I am the one having a baby, so its a big scary, but I am getting excited. I bet your going to grow like crazy soon. Does he kick yet?

Ahh, your worst nightmare! hee hee
He moves around ALL the time, but he hasn't really kicked too much. At least not enough that it's uncomfortable.
I know, my belly has PROBABLY gotten bigger; it just seems small compared to other ladies in my class. They just look SO big compared to me, even though I'm the first one due! Maybe it's cause I'm a bigger girl anyway?

It's good to hear Jason's back can be fixed through adjusting rather than surgery or something. It is easier to stick to routines like that when you know there is an end in the future. Glad you found a trustworthy doctor.
