Updates

We got back from our trip to NV/CA on Monday night. Anthony did SO well traveling! Out of the 24 hours of drive time, he only fussed for maybe 45 minutes. I was so proud of him! We had a great time visiting my family. It's so nice to have my sister closer. Her house is so cute and they have done so much already to make it feel like home. It was great to spend time with Grammie and Grandpa. We all wished our time together was longer, but I was so happy they got to spend some time with Anthony. We're all hoping time off at Christmas will happen this year.

Our yearly Thanksmas dinner was fabulous as usual, and Lauren & Paul were great hosts! No matter how long it's been since we've seen each other last, all of us girls just pick up where we left off. No Cranium this year, but we had a few other games to show our competitiveness.

House updates: we got back, and the master bath is completely tiled. More texture had gone onto various parts of the walls. Yesterday they installed the granite kitchen countertops, the granite around the tub and part of the fireplace. Jason installed the microwave last night so they could install the backsplash area today. Carpet and paint should be next week's projects, and the guy came out last night to measure for our new shower door and bathroom mirrors. Unfortunately, when he and Jason opened the bathroom vanity box last night from Costco.com, the granite top was cracked down the middle, but I called this morning and they are sending a new one out. Hopefully it won't take 3 weeks!

We put our house for rent in the paper yesterday. So far no inquiries, and we decided that if we don't have any calls by Monday, we're going to wait 2 more weeks to move, so that would put us around October 10th. Give me a little more time to pack and get all of the other finishes done - lighting, fixtures, etc. We still need to order our front door and back door, install a doggy door out to the backyard, and did I mention all of the cleaning?! Everything is so dirty right now! Lots to do. Also need to have the new kitchen flooring installed in the current house to replace what Guiness chewed up.

Anthony is doing great. He's in his "transition week" at daycare, which means that he has been spending a few hours each day in his next classroom. He's been doing well, and Monday he will begin being in there full-time. I'm really going to miss his current teachers, but I know at least one of the new ones is just as good. Not sure about the other one, but I've been told she's just the quiet type.

Yesterday morning before daycare I put Anthony in his chair, and all he wanted to do was try to grab toys that were nearby. As soon as he heard the camera, he perked up and smiled, without me even telling him! Such a ham! Here he is in his Curious George outfit from Grammie and Grandpa.

He is so funny. Glad your house is coming all together. It sounds like you will get to move before winter hits. I don't think I got a chance to say thanks but thanks for the pics. They are all so cute and Ash is putting the cloud one in her room.
