Frosty Fun

Winter is finally here! Unfortunately, it's starting to put a damper on our travel plans for this weekend, so we're not sure what's in store yet... pray that we can even make it through!!

Saturday morning we woke up to just a little bit of snow on the ground, barely enough to even cover it. I did some errands while Jason watched Anthony. Saturday evening after bath time, we all piled in the car and drove around to look at Christmas lights. Some people's houses just amaze me! (wonder what their electricity bill looks like!)

Sunday morning we woke up to LOTS more snow! It was quite the drive to church, but we left early enough that it was okay. When we got home, after my much needed Starbucks stop, this is how we found the front yard:

I love it when it has just fallen and everything is so white and clean. Beautiful. Here's a close-up of my poor little Santas!

I guess I should be happy. We could live someplace where they would be COMPLETELY covered!

Anthony didn't mind the snow much. I'm not really even sure he cared. Fortunately, he has one zip-up hoodie jacket that we can throw over his head, cause he's not much into hats. Here he is after we got home yesterday, posing as always! :)

His top left tooth popped through last Wednesday, so we've been trying Cherrios and Gerber puffs, neither of which he is crazy about.

I spent most of yesterday afternoon and evening baking. We had our cookie exchange at work today, and I think I got some good ones in return. I made Butter Mint cookies for the exchange, and for our neighbors, I also did peanut butter balls, peanut butter fudge, Butterscotch Brownies, Pumpkin cookies, and chocolate dipped marshmallows. I realized I really do like to bake if I have the time. :) 'Tis the season for giving!

This sounds all too familiar! I'm wondering how this weekend will be for my driving as well with our forcast being a high of 8 and a low of -4 (and that has gone up from 0 to 8 and -8 to -4)! I'm just hoping I can get as far south as possible (where it's warmer) before the sun rises or else I am scared for what may occur!

Take care, drive safely and I'll see you on Tuesday :-)
