I took a few pictures last weekend so that everyone could at least get an idea of what is going on, and why I keep complaining that my house is SOOO dusty and dirty! (for the record, I will NEVER live in a house while it is being remodeled again! at least not the drywall part!)
Coming down the stairs, if you look to the left, this is what you see. The small room at the end is where Jason's TV room will be. It used to be a bedroom, so there was a wall that went almost all the way across, with a door right about where the table saw is set up on the left. Right about where Rusty is standing is the bathroom that we did nothing with (although we both regret that now). To the left of the table saw on the left (was that confusing?) there is an opening you can kind of see - that will be my exercise room. The big common area on the right will be where Jason's pool table will eventually go.
To the right you can see where the staircase ends. This would be looking to the right of the staircase. On the left section of the wall will be Anthony's chalkboard wall (with blue chalkboard paint!) and on the right section we will hang Jason's dart board. Just beyond the staircase you can see cabinets. That is the bar area. There are 2 doors at the very end - the one straight ahead is my office/craft room, and the one on the right is the guest suite.
This is the bar area. The cabinets turned out great! There will be a granite counter on top of the little cabinet wall (right in front), as well as on top of the bottom cabinets, which you can't see very well. On the other side of that wall, Jason will put our new wine refrigerator (when we decide to buy one!). He will actually put a door there so it will be in it's own little closet.
Sorry for the blurry dots - I think even my camera is dirty!
This is the cabinetry in the guest bathroom.
This is the guest bathroom shower - all of this travertine was free! We only bought the accent tiles and the shower floor. It's actually all finished now, but I have had a busy week and haven't had a chance to take more pictures. All of the bedrooms have been painted, too, so today they are working on the common area. This weekend, Jason and his dad will lay the wood flooring (actually a wood laminate) and Wednesday the bedrooms will be carpeted. We're really pushing to be done in time for our guests next weekend! Don't expect any decorations up for a while, though :)
