So as I've mentioned before, we have been spending a lot of time in our front yard, trying to finish it up before fall. It has been a lot of hard work, but Jason and I were talking last night and we are both so happy with the results and have enjoyed working on it together.
Here are a couple of "before" pictures:
As you can see, there wasn't a whole lot of landscaping, kinda boring if you ask me, especially when you look at other houses in our neighborhood.
A little bit of a closer view
So when it was decided that we would pour a new patio, we thought we might as well spruce up the front, get rid of what we didn't like about it, and pour some curbing. And voila!
It was getting late when I took this picture last night, so you can't see the new tree very well, but it's in the center with 2 of the original bushes. The goal is to have it eventually shade the front door because it can be blinding in the evening when the sun shines through!
We finished putting in all the rock and the rest of the solar lights this last weekend. You'd be surprised how much light they give off! I am so happy with how it turned out!
A little bit closer view of the pathway up to our porch. As you can see, we haven't gotten to the right side yet; those are the only original plants, shrubs and one small tree we kept. They actually are beautiful in the spring. So we still have to fill the white rock in on that side, but otherwise we are done! I was so excited I had to at least share our accomplishments thus far. :)

It is alot of work but the end reward is worth it.
