Halloween this year was a much anticipated event... Anthony's first year of trick-or-treating! On Friday his class had a party and everyone was supposed to dress up. His teachers dressed up, but he was only one of two kids in the whole class! I was a little disappointed with that. I volunteered to make cupcakes, and finally found the orange frosting I was looking for at Target! They seemed to be a hit.
Jason and I did our yearly pumpkin carving. We had 4 pumpkins to carve this year! We got a couple of free ones from the nursery right after we bought two at Wally World, so we of course had to carve them. It's hard to tell what they really are, but here are 3 of them.
Jason picked out Anthony's costume this year... a turtle! I wasn't quite sure about the hood part... Anthony HATES things on his head, but when I picked him up from school on Friday, his teacher told me he wore it for over an hour! I was shocked, and also hoped that he would wear it for the real event Saturday night! Well, as you can see, the evening didn't start out that well...
But, he quickly became happy, as he sometimes does, and we were off!

I was so happy that he got the hang of carrying his own pumpkin!
He was pretty excited to be outside, even though it was almost dark. He LOVES being outside.
One of our neighbors just let him reach in and grab the candy. He kept going back for more, probably at least 4 or 5 times!!
We made it to about 5 houses, enough candy for him for over 2 weeks! He did great, and I think he would have kept going. It was a very mild night, so I was thankful for that since he still has a runny nose and cough, poor guy.
We made it back home in time for lots of trick-or-treaters at our own house. He got excited every time the door bell rang. He would run to the door, check out the costumes, and then his favorite part was helping Jason or I shut the door! He's so funny.

Jason gave him some candy, and he kept asking for more, more, more! We let him stay up a little later than usual since we got an extra hour of sleep that night. He ran around the house like a crazy baby for about an hour, then crashed. Fun times!
Happy 6 years to me and Jason today! :)
