Christmas is in the air!

Decorating for Christmas typically takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving. Since we usually travel for a week to CA, I try to get them up early so I can enjoy it more than 2 weeks before we leave! But this year, I was frantically working to get the rest of the Thanksgiving name cards done, so it didn't get done until last weekend.
It was great because the in-laws were here to help and watch Anthony. We were able to get a lot of it done before he woke up from his nap, but the tree didn't get decorated until the next day.

Jason had a great idea to hang all of the stockings from the fireplace this year. Since we utilize our gas fireplace pretty often, Aida and I came up with a way to put them AROUND the fireplace instead. I really like it.
(Do you think Anthony has enough toys?!)

She also helped by decorating the banister with tinsel, which I did not do last year, but looks really good!

I love my nativity scene. It is small and cute, and doesn't take up much room, but we are still able to look at it and remember the real reason we celebrate Christmas.
I have to tell a funny story: Anthony has done really well with all of the Christmas decorations and the ornaments on the tree, except for one.... the blue ball candle on this table (to the right) we have caught him throwing twice now onto the floor... he thinks it should bounce like his other ones!!

Jason and his dad did a great job with the lights this year. Of course, the picture is dark and you don't quite get the same effect, but you can at least get the idea. :)
And yes, although most of it is gone, we still have snow on the ground... 21 has been our high for the last few days, and it's been down to -7 at night... brrr!!!
