We felt it was finally time for Anthony to get a big boy bed. He never once actually crawled out of his crib, thankfully, but you just never know what crazy idea will pop into their heads!
Thanks to Nonna & Nonno, he also got a wonderful bedroom set to grow into!
As you can see, we went with the Handy Manny theme (thanks Grammie and Grandpa!) He absolutely loves Handy Manny and the tools. We asked him many times if he wanted that or Cars. We even threw in Thomas Train at the end, but he always answered Handy Manny. (still can't find any wall decor, though...)
I snapped a quick pic of him the first morning he woke up. He slept so great. He never once got up. The week before we had been traveling and so I think he was used to sleeping on a "big boy bed" since he was sleeping on bigger mattresses. The transition couldn't have been more seamless!
His first nap, on the other hand, was a little different. He still didn't get up, but he made a huge mess of his bed! We heard him in there for about 45 minutes singing, playing with stuffed animals, etc. When I went in to check on him later, this is how I found him:
Can't even see him, huh?
There he is! Funny little guy. And he still has to suck on those fingers. :)
So far it has been a great transition. He protests every now and then, but mostly he wants to sleep in his big boy bed. He was scared of the yellow chicken in his closet earlier this week and got us up at 6am, but that's not bad at all! Luckily, too, he has yet to figure out that he can get up and walk around if he so chooses... keep your fingers crossed that lasts a little big longer!

Love the "big boy" bed and new bedding!
It all looks great Trishie!
Maybe you could find some of the HM thin books and frame them. Or use the plush toy tool box set and hang some of the tools up.
Wow, what a big boy! LOVE his room!! Love the pictures!!
I LOVE all the stuff! I will be on the hunt for HM stuff, can't wait to see you all again!
What a nice set!
