Christmas Day

Anthony and I set out cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. I got up before him Christmas morning to videotape his reaction to everything. I wish I could post it, but it won't let me, so here's the short version:

{Mommy videotaping as Anthony walks into the living room}

Anthony: "Ooohh...." (walks over to the fireplace) "Uh-oh"

Mommy: "What's wrong?"

Anthony: "Santa's cookies are gone!"

Hilarious! I tried not to laugh too hard, but just explained to him that Santa came and ate them! And look at the presents he left you! So cute.

"Santa" really only brought him one present this year, since I didn't think he would quite grasp the concept yet. It was a Handy Manny Big Construction set! He is having a blast playing with all of the pieces. He doesn't quite understand how to put it all together, but he loves all of the characters and tools.

Zio Jeremy and May sent him a BIG box this year... a construction workshop! He attempted to help Daddy put it together, but I really think he just wanted the hammer to bang stuff with. :)

He got LOTS of books on Christmas Day, which is always good, in my opinion. We haven't even gotten through half of them yet. It always seems to take him a while to warm up to the new ones.

We did our yearly tradition of "taking turns" opening presents. It worked out really well for Anthony because after a few, he was pretty much done! He opened a lot of cars and just wanted to play, not open any more presents! Grammie convinced him to finish up really quick, and he did a great job.
The stocking tradition is always so much fun. We pretty much give each other a list of sorts, but sometimes we go outside the box and give a nice surprise. (Go, Dad!)
Jason got 4 puzzles this year! And he's already on his second one!

Another yearly tradition - our fondue feast!

Although it was starting to become unrecognizable, this was Anthony's first gingerbread house! He made it at school on the 23rd, and by the time I picked him up, it had already fallen down! Maybe next year it will have a better foundation. :)

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!
