I've been a horrible blogger lately, so I thought I would try to post a quick one...
Pretty sure everyone knows by now, but Baby #2 is a boy! We are very excited, and I'm sure once he comes, Anthony will be, too. :) Right now he just doesn't want to share anything with him... toys, people, whatever! Oh, how his life will change....
I almost thought we weren't going to be able to find out the sex because he was not cooperating! He would duck his head and try to "run" from the ultrasound wand, making it very hard to get good pictures. We will have to do another partial next time, but everything that she saw looked great. He is right on time, but I did ask about him coming early, and there is a very good chance, so we will just be watchful, as my doctor said.
I swore off finding a nursery set online this time, but I had to look because Jason and I weren't agreeing on anything. I found one, and one that he actually likes, too! We are going with a "Forest Friends" theme, which I absolutely adore. It's not the typical nursery set I would pick out, but I felt like mixing it up this time. :)
In other news, I passed my credential exam! Very excited about that. It was a rigorous test and I'm glad I don't have to do it again! I applied for two jobs with St. Luke's Hospital, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I don't expect to hear anything until after the holidays, at least. They seem to move a little slow.
My new office has been installed downstairs, and although I'm not quite organized and not everything is put away yet, it feels great to have such a beautiful space. Although it's still in the future, it will be a nice place to work at home. I will post pics when I put everything away!
I am looking forward to not having to travel this year for Christmas, but I think it's going to feel strange. I have gone to Grannie's house every year of my life for Christmas Eve, and this will be the first year we won't be there. Sometimes, I guess, new traditions have to be made. I am making her apricot brandy cake, so I know that part, at least, will still feel like "home." Hope everyone enjoys their holiday!!

Well, it was definitely weird not to have you here, a little uneventful even. It was also the first year Grannie hasn't made her apricot brandy cake for Christmas! Hope you all had a good one!
