Yes, we are still alive! With my office downstairs now, it's MUCH harder to get down here to blog. Most of the time I just run down to pay some bills or check my email. Actually spending time down here is another story! Luckily today mom is here and I have some extra time!
It has been quite the month at the Nauman residence. June 3rd, after coming home from my birthday BBQ at mom and dad's, I was giving Anthony a bath and noticed some tiny red bumps in various places on his body. Called the nurse and we couldn't determine what they were, but she gave me some things to look for. The next day, a few more showed up, and I still wasn't sure what they were. But by Sunday morning, I definitely knew they were chicken pox. Ugh. Poor Anthony. He had them ALL OVER. Tons on his face and in his hair. By Monday night, he was itching really bad and spent a lot of time in the tub from then on. Lots of movies and puzzles. And really, for being 3, he handled it like a champ.
We separated the boys from Saturday on, but right when Anthony was able to go back to daycare, Byron got a red bump on his head. Here we go again! We weren't sure with his age if there were going to be extra complications, but luckily he was old enough that we could supposedly treat him like a normal size kid. Unfortunately, he has been to the doctor 4 times in the last 2 weeks! He got them much worse than originally expected, and the poor guy will get them again later on because he is too young to build up immunity to them since he still has my immunity.
On top of all of this, Jason has been working out of town for several weeks. Thank goodness mom and dad live here now or I would seriously be going crazy. You can't do much when your kids are contagious!
As I mentioned earlier, Anthony now LOVES puzzles. I think he has at least 10 now, and he does a few every day. Daddy got him this cool dinosaur one that is a little out of his league, but he has memorized it so much that he can mostly put it together by himself!
Baby Byron is growing like a weed! He has his 2-month appointment this afternoon, so stats are coming, but the boy is BIG! I keep expecting him to sleep longer at night (we're at about 4 hours stretches) but do realize he hasn't been feeling well for quite some time now. This weekend he is moving to his own room, so stay tuned for the details!
Some of these pictures are older since I haven't had a chance to post in a while...

This was on Sunday night... his first movie with big brother. Guess he couldn't stay awake for it. :) I put him down on the floor for some tummy time and Anthony asked if he could go get his pillow and blanket and watch the movie on the floor, too. So cute. It reminded me of when my sister and I used to do that.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Awww so cute! So glad to see new pictures...not that I'm any better at updating my blog!! I've been thinking about you guys and am glad to hear both boys are doing well now. That must have been challenging!! Talk soon!! Love you!!
What big boys there! Anthony's smile is priceless as he's holding little brother in that top pic. He looks so grown up there. Byron is such a pretty baby, and great complexion! I can really see the Wiese in him in the pic where he's sitting in the chair. I can't even imagine having two little ones with the pox, glad you all made it through!
Aww they are both so cute and getting so big!
Yeah!! Thanks for the update! I can't believe how much he has grown. It's cute how he is looking more like Anthony now. I can't wait to see everyone in August. Anthony told me yesterday that Elmo and Pooh were brothers. lol, he was pretty talkative. I told him big tigger was waiting to play when he comes to visit. He seemed happy about that.
Such a beautiful family, I love reading your posts!! Byron is getting so big, and looks so happy, just like Anthony always does!! :)
Great pictures. So sorry to hear that both boys had the chickenpox. I am glad that everyone survived. Hope you get to enjoy your summer now.
They are adorable Trisha! Ugh chickenpox...at least you got it over with :)
