Answered Prayers

Yay! Jason is finally going back to work! He got a call this afternoon saying that one of the other superintendents will be needing some help starting on Monday, so hopefully nothing changes between now and then.

His plan is to continue following up with Alliance Restoration, and when their hiring freeze is over, he would really like to go to work for them. I tell you - it has been a hard 2 months, but like my mom always says, God will provide.

In other news, I am getting a small raise in April. It's barely enough to pay for my parking permit every month, but I'm not complaining - it's better than nothing!

My sister called not too long ago, and they are about an hour away from Omaha - their trip is almost complete! Aside from the first day, their trip hasn't been too bad and the animals have been on their best behavior. I'm really excited to go out and visit!

Jason and I are waiting to hear back from our CPA. We took our taxes in on Saturday morning, and it's not looking as good as we had hoped, but probably not as bad as the past 2 years, either. It sounds like next year will be better, since we will have paid a full year in interest on the house.

As I've mentioned before, we're hoping to get Rusty a friend this spring/summer. I was looking in the paper on Sunday morning and found a 1 1/2 year old male mini-doxie, who was house broken and was only $50. I made a list of all the things I wanted to ask the owner, got him on the phone, only to find out that they had already given the doxie away. I was a little sad, but I guess this way we can start from scratch like we did with Rusty. I just need to be patient and wait a little bit longer. :)

In my opinon puppies are better because you can train them and you don't adopt their bad behaviors that you don't know about

I am glad Jason got a job it always feels better to have something. We got lucky with Twinkie but how many dogs did it take us to get the right one.

Yes, that's true. It just seemed to good to be true, ya know? Same age as Rusty, etc. It will be nice to start with a new puppy again.
And thanks for the encouragement for Jason! He needs it! :)
