As your pregnancy continues during pregnancy week 11, your baby is almost large enough for you to nestle in your palm. Most babies are just under 1 ½ inches long by now and may weigh as much as .3 ounces. Your baby probably resembles a large lime (in size, not shape)!
Your baby's skin is still transparent by pregnancy week 11. For much of your pregnancy in fact, your baby's skin will remain paper thin. Once your baby reaches full term he will start to fill out, and you will no longer be able to see your baby's blood vessels peeking out through his skin. Most baby's can make tiny fists by pregnancy week 11. During week 11 pregnancy your baby's fingers and toes lose their web like appearance and resemble actual digits! In the upcoming weeks your baby is planning on growing quite a bit. Most babies will double their size during the next three weeks alone!

I had my doctor's appointment this morning, and the heartbeat is still racing along! Jason got to hear it this time, which was neat. I had a lot of questions answered, and for those of you wondering, I will be able to find out the sex of the baby around mid-October (I will be 20 weeks on the 15th, so anytime around there).
On another note, I just have to say thanks to my grannie for buying Jason and I plane tickets home for Christmas. It would be a "nightmare" having to drive that far at 7 months, plus we just never know what the weather is going to do. I'm looking forward to spending the holiday with my family, and of course attending the baby shower they are planning for that time!

That is so awesome!!! I'm glad Jason got to hear the heartbeat. And I'm so glad you get to come home for Christmas. That's wonderful. Its wonderful you're family will get to see you with your belly!!!
I tried to call you today at work but it was busy. Call waiting? :) I'm excited, I was at Old Navy looking at baby clothes today, can't wait, I want to know what to buy!
Hmm...what time? I was in a meeting from 2pm on...
But nope, no call waiting. :(
