Thanks to family members, we are now flying to CA for BOTH holidays! Grannie is flying us home for Christmas, and Jason's parents are flying us home for Thanksgiving. Everyone is so generous this year!
My poor babies, though... they will have to be boarded. We went and checked out the boarding place on Saturday, and it's a nice, brand new one. It was full, too! I think there were only 2 kennels that didn't have a dog (or 2, or 3) in them. We saw a kennel that had 2 mini doxies, and they looked sooooo sad! :( I just know that's what Guiness and Rusty will look like, so I'm opting for the smaller kennel that doesn't have the web cam in it. The larger ones have a web cam, so you can go online and watch your dog while you're away. Jason offered to put them in the larger one (even though it's huge and is meant for big dogs) but I said no thanks. I think I would cry if I went online and saw how sad they were. :(
There's an outside courtyard in the middle of all of the kennels, and they get let out for 15 minutes, 5 times per day. (Does anyone know...is that good?)
I wish they could come with us, but I know it will be easier this way. Plus, everytime we put Guiness in the car, he throws up, without fail. I hope he grows out of that soon. We want to take both of them to Big Bear in October, and I don't really want to have to deal with a carsick puppy!

You really miss those puppies when you have to leave them, we missed Twink all last weekend. It is a blessing you have so many people helping you out and can fly here and there. It will be much easier.
That is so wonderful that you get to come home for both. When are you coming for Christmas and how long are you staying?
At least they will have eachother
