Happenings

Well, I survived the weekend! Both parties were a lot of fun; I was only sorry that I had to leave mine early. Apparently after I left, I got volunteered to plan next year's party! Fun! I just hope they will still invite me if I end up leaving! This year's ornament theme was Glitter. I found this super cute glittery Santa at Pier 1, and it was the first bag to be picked. After that, everyone wanted it (cause we play the White Elephant game)! Fun times.
Saturday I did some errands and took a nap. Saturday night Jason and I drove around (with our hot cocoa, although mine didn't taste that good to me - I was just trying to be festive!) and looked at Christmas lights. We found some fabulous ones! Towards the end, it started snowing, just enough to dust the ground, and I just love that feeling that comes with this time of year.
Sunday morning the alarm went off and I had slept horribly and didn't feel good. I ended up going back to bed until 11am! Haven't done that in a while. The rest of the day was spent bumming around the house in my pajamas (one of my more comfortable outfits these days!) and making my Cranberry Macadamia Nut Bars for my cookie exchange Monday. I was not impressed with how they turned out this time, especially since I loved them the first time I made them back in May.
Yesterday was a fun day at work, with our Cookie Exchange and Luncheon. Come to find out, no one was really happy with how their cookies had turned out! We still had a good lunch together, though. I had Jason try all of the cookies last night, and he honestly wasn't impressed, either. Oh well.
I also got a phone call yesterday that my blood work came back and everything looks good! No gestational diabetes and the extra iron I have been taking has been enough, so no anemia, either! Yay!
Tomorrow morning I have a phone interview with a company called Moms-in-Law. They are basically an organization that helps stay-at-home moms find jobs within their respective fields. They have some companies who are looking for people with various accounting skills, so they interview you and then try to match you up with the best company. Wish me luck - this could be my chance of not having to send Anthony to daycare!
Only 4 days until we leave for California - SO EXCITED!!!
