Our weekend was an event-filled one, as usual! Friday evening was Jason's summer work party, which is usually a picnic out on a ranch, but this year they decided to have it at Boondocks. Boondocks is a kids' wonderland... that is, if you're at least 38 inches tall! Anthony wasn't quite big enough to enjoy anything this year, which made it hard for us as well. They have mini golf, water boat rides, go karts, etc. Someday it will be a really fun place for us to take Anthony. At least the BBQ portion was inside, out of the 100 degree heat!
When we got home around 8:30pm, the house was STILL hot. Actually, it was warmer than when we left. I usually don't leave the a/c on when we're gone, but I didn't want to come home to a hot house. Well, I did anyway. Our a/c was out! Jason tried everything he could think of, and by 9:30, nothing had worked. It was 85 degrees upstairs, and I knew there was no way I could leave Anthony in his room with no fan. So Jason brought the pac-n-play upstairs into our room and we all slept in as little as possible with no covers! We kept the window open and the fan going and ended up sleeping as well as we could. I think Anthony has a little bit of a heat rash on his back and his sides, though; this probably didn't help him much, even though he was just in a diaper.
So Saturday morning, Jason called in the troops. Being a Steed employee paid off once again; the guy on-call came out that morning for us since there was a connection. Otherwise we would have had to wait until today! $152 later, our a/c worked again and all was well. Apparently there was a bad connection. He didn't even charge us overtime, either! What a nice guy.
Saturday at noon we were supposed to meet the lady from the tile and stone store at the new house to get an estimate. 12:30 rolls around, and still no one. We end up calling the store, since of course I forgot her business card back at the house, and they called her for us. A little while later, as we're almost home, she calls to say that she forgot to transfer the information from her piece of paper that day we came in to her desk calendar. Wow, that's good business. We'll be moving on to the guy Jason works with out in the field; hopefully he's a bit more reliable.
Anthony and I decided we had had enough, so we took a small nap and the rest of the evening was better. Sunday, Jason had to work and we did our Costco run. I got some housework done and Anthony and I played a lot.
Over the past week, off and on, Anthony decides that sometime during the middle of the night, he is going to sleep on his tummy. It's really cute to find him that way, but this morning he woke up SCREAMING! He was so mad he was on his tummy, and he wouldn't calm down until I put the bottle in his mouth! Last week he woke up early and then went back to sleep as I was getting ready. Here's how I found him:
He was still mostly on his side, but it was really cute. And boy does he love to suck his fingers!
This video, taken last night, is for Grammie and Gramps

We loved the new video, Gramps hasn't been feeling to well the last few days and this made his night.
We can't believe he is already wearing those slippers. We've decided that the video's aren't long enough for us. but, keep them coming.
Love you all.
I love pictures of babies sleeping. They look so peaceful. He looks like he is getting longer.
wow trish! i guess its been awhile since i checked your blog, or youve been very busy too! the house looks so nice! :) im so excited for u guys! and great new pics/videos of anthony!
LOVE the new pictures, how cute is that. Those booties are adorable! Does he fit into his camo shoes yet? Your not doing very well on taking those pictures of him in outfits Auntie buys.
Well what would you like to see that you've gotten him? His feet are almost big enough to fit into the Baby Gap blue shoes you got him, with the teddy bears, but not the camo ones yet. His feet (I think) are actually on the smaller side.
