Paint!

Wednesday night we were supposed to go look at the paint colors, but it didn't happen. Wes (the painter we will be using) got a flat tire and had to take care of that, but we didn't find that out until we had gone home and been there for about an hour. He felt really bad about it, but I just kept thinking "I hope this isn't the way this housing project is going to go - people keep flaking out on us!" So we got in the car and were heading out last night a little after 6, and Jason got a phone call asking if we could push it back. That happened 2x! ugh. We finally got there around 7:30 (luckily, Jason had already given Anthony a bath, so all we needed to do when we got home was feed him - yes, I said JASON gave him a bath - don't faint!)
We ended up finding a few colors that almost matched my swatches exactly! I was really excited about that. We ended up getting a gray color, a tan color for our bedroom, and some white for the ceilings and some white for the trim (windows, baseboards, etc) It was all the "really good stuff" and it was in 5 gallon buckets, so there should be plenty to do everything upstairs. The best part is that it was FREE! Yay!
So we dropped it off at the new house on our way home and we'll put some sample patches on sometime this weekend to make sure we like it. I think as far as paint goes, all we'll need to buy are the 2 colors for Anthony's room, since we are keeping those the same as he has now.
Stay tuned!

It's great that you saved on paint. Sometimes it does seem like people are flaky but atleast when everything is done you can sigh with relief. We knew Jason had it in him. Go Jason!

Good Job, Jason! Good deal on the cost of the paint. It pays to have thoughtful friends.
