Flooring

Took a few pictures Sunday night of the flooring that Jason put in the basement. It wasn't quite done at the time, but it is now and it looks so good! He and his dad did a really good job. It wasn't as easy to put down as he expected, but these kinds of things seldom are!

This is to the right of the stairs

This is the bar area. The short wall that was in the previous post was removed just to put the flooring down. It's now back up and the granite put on top. Everything looks so nice, and I know Jason is really happy and proud of himself (mostly cause he thinks he can say I told ya so!) I never doubted it could be nice, for the record; just skeptical that 1) he would finish it and 2) I have no vision for this kind of thing. I honestly don't think he knew exactly what he would be doing with it when we bought the house, either. :)

So as long as the carpet comes today as scheduled, and the shower door and mirrors come in tomorrow for the guest bathroom, we will be set for this weekend! Just lots and lots and lots of cleaning....
