Landscaping Projects

This past weekend Jason and I finally got to do some landscaping. One of the trees in our front yard had died, and we couldn't figure out why until we dug it up. The people who had planted it left it in the metal basket, so it couldn't grow! How irritating.

So we spent some money at Lowe's and got a flowering plum tree, some zinnias, cala lillies, marigolds, and other things I don't know the names of.

Our grass is finally starting to grow back, too, so we should be okay by our 2-week deadline.

Aren't these chocolate cala lillies beautiful? Lowe's had just gotten a shipment in that morning, so we picked out some really nice ones that were already blooming. I think now all I need is a few turtles or frogs, and maybe a little fountain. Oh, and some outdoor pathway lights, too. :)

Wow, now everything looks so cute. I can't believe that about the tree...how annoying! Your grass did look kind of bad, I guess that what happenes when your sprinkler breaks! It all looks so good now!

Thanks! And I forgot to put on there that we found a leak in our sprinklers in the front yard, too! How much more will go wrong?!

I finally was able to log in. Your yard looks very nice. It always seems when one thing goes wrong there are twenty more things, atleast it all came together

Love the chocolate ones!! How irritating to have a deadline! Guess it's not like living in rural McKinleyville! I can't believe someone would plant a tree in the ground in it's original container, seriously?!
