27 weeks

"This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on."
Well, I actually had an ultrasound on Tuesday to rule out some problems they thought might be occurring, and he measured in at 2lbs 7ozs already! I am thinking that if he comes on time, he is going to be a BIG boy!

I'm feeling quite large these days. I know I seem to say that a lot lately, but here's the proof:

See how far he is sticking out!?
I thought it would be fun to compare weeks with what I looked like with Anthony, so here I was a little over 3 years ago:

Large, but definitely more pronounced this time around.

I go in for my 28 week appt next Tuesday and get to drink the yummy orange stuff and be tested for gestational diabetes. I am sure it will go well. :)

The nursery has been painted and we will be working on putting the crib back together this weekend, so I will post pictures soon!
