Saturday we took a visit to the pumpkin patch. Anthony had gone once last year with Auntie and Uncle Jeremy, but I don't think he remembered it.
We started off by getting some lunch, and discovered that the hand-dipped corn dogs were the best! After that, it was over to the pig races. We thought Anthony would be much more intrigued, but after all of the people crowded around, we really couldn't see them that well, and the track was super short. By the time he caught a glimpse of them, the race was already over! Attention span didn't last too long on that one...
Since the goats were nearby, we walked over to them. At the zoo in August, he didn't really want to feed the goats or have them touch his hand, but he did much better this time. Maybe it was because his big, strong grandpa was there with him. :)
When we walked in the entrance, straight ahead was the big wooden chair. Perfect photo op! After we were done with the goats, we had Anthony take some pictures. Fortunately, we got some great ones!
Here he is hamming it up for the camera:
And we even got one with Grandpa, too!
Next, it was on to the Cow Train. I couldn't really tell from the website what this little train was all about, but it looked like the perfect size for Anthony, so I had hoped he would ride it and not be afraid.
He LOVED it! He even rode around on it twice! We of course had to pick out the cow named Rusty, which he thought was super cool. All of these little cows were attached together and pulled by a big blue tractor, which he was mesmerized by, especially the second time around. We got some great video of him laughing and waving to us.
Nap time was nearing, and we wanted him to be able to ride a pony, so we headed over there. Unfortunately, the line was a little long, and he doesn't quite understand the concept of waiting his turn yet. Some crying and grumpiness later, he finally got his turn on a pony. He did great on this, too, and wasn't even the least bit afraid.
We had a great time, but didn't get to go over to the pumpkin patch or go on the hayride, so we're all going to go back on Friday night and bring his Nauman grandparents, too. I think when I tell him we're going back, he'll be really excited to do all of this again!
